Operating System: Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks

I am planning to update my Mac from Mavricks to El Capitan. Do I need to reinstall my printer or can I just download the updated driver?

I understand that you wanted to know if you need to reinstall the printer or download the updated drivers after you upgrade the operating system to El Capitan.

 

There are no full feature drivers available for Mac OS X 10.11. Hence you need to install the Mac printer driver using Apple Software Update.
