After clicking on or selecting print, a new window pops up.  I refer to it as Print Preview.  On the left frame are various options/selections for printing.  On the large right frame is where the document is previewed.  My issue is the size of the document in the preview window.  It is horribly tiny; you can't read anything (desired to ensure what will print, number of pages, layout, format, etc).  Need a way to enlarge the document in the window.  I'm not finding a zoom function.  Thoughts?  And Thank you.

Hi @TF44,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're encountering an issue with the print preview window being too small to read. Unfortunately, without the presence of a zoom function within the print preview window, you may need to employ alternative methods to address this issue. Here are a few potential solutions you can try.

  • Check Printer Settings: Sometimes, the printer settings themselves can affect the print preview. Ensure that your printer settings are configured correctly, especially regarding paper size and layout options.
  • Use Print Preview in Your Application: Instead of relying on the print preview from the printer dialog, you could try using the print preview feature within the application you're printing from (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe Reader). These applications often have more robust preview options, including zoom functionality.
  • Adjust Screen Resolution: Temporarily adjusting your screen resolution could potentially make the print preview window appear larger on your screen. This might not be an ideal solution, but it could help in the short term.
  • Print to PDF: If your application allows it, you could try printing the document to a PDF file first. Once the PDF is generated, you can open it in a PDF viewer and use the zoom function there to preview the document at a more readable size.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause compatibility issues with printing functions, including print preview.
  • Check for Software Updates: Occasionally, printer software updates may include new features or bug fixes that could address issues like this. Check for updates for your printer's software and firmware.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
