Hi - having upgraded to Catalina on Mac, my Deskjet F2180 no longer works, despite downloading the recommended drivers from the HP site. Is this printer too old now or is there a driver I can use?

Hi,
Have you installed the below drivers for the printer?
Can you successfully copy a document from the printer?
Try resetting the printing system and check for any difference:
*Be aware that resetting the printer system will remove any existing print queue and reset any customized driver settings.
Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences.
Select Printers & Scanners.
Right-click (or Ctrl + click) your product in the Printers list in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user Name and Password.
Click OK. The printing system resets.
Now click the plus sign and select your printer, ensure the printer model is selected within the Use drop-down menu, and try printing.
If there is still no change, I would also suggest trying a different USB cable and check.
