Since Flash is no longer supported the original HP printer app that came with my C5280 all-in-one printer is no longer working. What is the best scan & print application can I use to fully utilise my printer?
I have downloaded the HP Smart App as the HP support pages suggests that it will work. However, I am not able to connect my printer as the HP Smart App cannot see the printer on the USB port. Does the HP Smart App work with the C5280 AIO printer?
Thanks in advance

Short Answer
Based on the data I can find and your experience with the product, the answer is a disappointing "No".
Longer Discussion / Explanation
From the documentation:
"Most wireless-capable printers manufactured 2010 and later can be added to the HP Smart app."
There are three models in this series - the model manufactured / introduced in your region shows a 2007 mfg date.
Q8330B — HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-One Printer
Connectivity, Std | 1 USB 2.0 |
What does that mean?
Generally, it means that if nothing you do results in the application working, it is not going to work.
In the case of this model, it is both lacking wireless and the prerequisite window of manufacture.
