HP Smart Tank 520 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I am planning to buy the Surface Pro 11 which is ARM64 based but I am wondering if the driver can support my printer which is a Smart Tank 520 series.

Hi @Sviin,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Yes, the HP Smart Tank 520 Series does have driver support for ARM64-based systems. This means that you should be able to use your Smart Tank 520 Series printer with your ARM64-based Surface Pro 11. To ensure compatibility and smooth installation, you can download the latest drivers from the HP support website and choose the appropriate ARM64 driver for your system.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I can't seem to find the driver that works for ARM64.

Tried to use a UPD to install but it didn't work, the error appeared was "Service "Plug and Play" failed to start".

Any solutions to this ?

While your printer is not listed directly as supported at this time, I suggest you download the HP Smart Universal Printer Driver for ARM devices and try that.

To confirm, your printer is not listed as supported but I have used this driver successfully with other non-listed printers.
