Does my HP printer store content in non-volatile RAM

I have a

HP Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M281fdw

Product # T6B82A

Is this suitable for secure “offline printing, scanning, and coping” using the USB connection to an “Offline Computer”?

In this example, neither the printer nor the computer have a connection to the internet.

Specific concerns/questions are:

1. Does this HP Model have non-volatile memory that stores the content of print and scan jobs even after powered off?
2. Can you do a “factory reset” to clear all user content including print and scan jobs?
3. Does the "Job Storage" feature stores data internally or only on an external USB drive.

Checking on specifications for Laserjet M281fdw shows that this is a basic Laserjet model printer, security features are included only in Laserjet Enterprise models.

Yes you can use offline and connected with USB cable.

About your questions:

1.  Laserjet M281fdw doesn´t have memory that stores content of print and scan.

2. Yes, you can do a factory reset using Control Panel printer option Service > Restore defaults.

3. Because this a basic model doesn´t have a Job Storage feature.

Only Laserjet Enterprise models have more security features like Job Storage and hard disk that stores content.
