Officejet Pro 8610

After updating the HP Officejet Pro 8610 Driver Update, my HP 8610 Application no longer functioned. I updated my windows OS to the latest version. I downloaded the HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer application.  The application would not complete the install because it failed to wireless connect with the printer. I manually specified the IP address of the printer and it failed numerous times. Tried to reboot computer, wireless router and printer a several times. Still failed to connect. The HP app seems to work.  The HP App appears to work. Did the HP App replace the HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer application? Or can someone help troubleshoot the HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer application.

Thanks,

Frank

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor: Follow steps from the link: Click here

Root level uninstall and reinstall printer drivers

  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Officejet printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  • Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
  • Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
  • Again, go to run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

To reinstall, click here.

  • If the issue continues, uninstall and reinstall printer Basic drivers from the link: Click here
  • If the issue still continues, install using Using the Windows Built-in Print DriverClick here

And, also click here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04675142 to know more about how to  Install and Use the HP Smart App (Windows 10)

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
