DomI need to remove old HP software before new printer install

I have a 5640e that has died …. Bought a new 7007 Smart Tank.

Should I remove all installed s/w on my W11 PC, before commencing app based set up ?

Hi @Sargan 

Yes, it is a good practice to remove old software and then install new software for printer.

You may need to open in Windows > Control Panel > Programs > and select HP 5640 software to remove.

Restart your computer and install new software.

Will install using the ‘app’ on the phone also trigger correct new software to be installed, or do I let W11 detect prinrer & install required s/w

1. First install printer using the app on the phone.

2. And then install HP App for your Windows 11 computer:
