HP Smart Tank 7305 All-in-One

The HP App for Smart Tank 7305 shows nearly zero ink levels but the printer status reports says the tanks are full and there is no indication on the printer that any of the ink tanks are empty. Basically, the HP App is not smart

I see that you are facing issues with your HP Smart Tank 7305 All-In-One wherein HP App does not detect ink levels.

  

Please follow the steps listed below to uninstall and reinstall HP App for windows:

 

Step 1: Uninstall HP App.

1. Navigate to and open Settings

2. Select Apps or Application Manager from the device Settings

3. Select HP App

4. Select Uninstall

 

Step 2: Reinstall HP App.

1. On your Windows 10 device, go to this link: https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/hp-smart/9WZDNCRFHWLH?hl=en-in&gl=in 

To get the app from the Windows Store, and then follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the app.

2. Open the HP app.

3. The app searches for recently installed printers.

- If your printer displays, click it. If you are setting up a new printer, it might display with Set-Up under the name.

- If your printer does not display, click the Plus sign, and then follow the on-screen prompts to add your printer or set up a new printer.

Sorry, you lost me in step 1, I went to settings but can't see how to select Apps or Application Manager

I tried repair, reset and uninstall/reinstall of the HP Smart App but couldn't get the ink level indicator OR the Scanner to operate consistently (works then it doesn't work next time) with the printer icon displaying "printer status unknown".

I had to get a live HP agent (not a virtual one) to help me to download another HP Smart Tank App that works well, refer below (NOTE: this is not a link). Thanks for trying to help but the HP Smart Tank App that I was using just doesn't work.

I don't see why I need to download firmware when I have got a solution from HP. I have given up with the HP App as it doesn't work properly and I am now using the better app I downloaded from HP with their assistance
