Hi,
I have a HP Envy 6132e All-in-One Printer but, i know it did double sided when i bought it, it has now changed; to manually double sided.
Does anyone know how this can be reverted back to double sided.
Many thanks

@Murr1957, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Let's get your HP Envy 6132e back to automatic duplex printing! It sounds like the printer has reverted to manual duplex mode, which can happen due to driver issues, settings resets, or configuration changes.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you restore automatic duplex printing.
Check the Printer Settings
- On your computer, go to "Printers & Scanners."
- Click on your HP Envy 6132e, then select "Printer Preferences" or "Printing Preferences."
- Look for a setting called "Print on Both Sides" or "Duplex Printing."
- Ensure it is set to Automatic (not manual).
For Windows:
- Under Printer Properties > Device Settings, check if Automatic Duplex Unit is marked as Installed.
- If it says "Not Installed," that’s likely why it switched to manual.
Steps:
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your printer and select Printer Properties.
- Go to the Device Settings tab.
- Find Duplex Unit or Double-Sided Printing Unit and set it to Installed.
- Apply the changes and save.
Reinstall or Update the Printer Driver
If the duplex setting is missing, you may need to reinstall the full driver:
- Go to the HP Envy 6132e Software and Drivers Download.
- Select your correct operating system (Windows 10, 11, macOS, etc.).
- Download and install the Full Feature Software, not just the basic driver.
- Restart your computer after installation.
Check the Print Dialog Before Printing
Before printing, ensure the duplex option is selected:
- In the print window, click Printer Properties or More Settings.
- Look for Two-Sided Printing.
- Ensure it says Print on Both Sides – Flip on Long Edge (or short edge, depending on your preference).
Reset Printer Settings (Optional)
You can also reset the printer settings:
- Go to the printer screen.
- Navigate to Settings > Restore Settings > Restore Printer Settings.
- This will reset the printer to factory settings (you'll need to reconnect it to Wi-Fi afterward).
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
