My 8024 gets stuck on the downloading update page and then says there was an error retry or cancel. I am seeing others with the same issue. Any solutions?

hello a new version of the mini software is available on the support center site. Download and install this new version, and the problem will disappear

Assuming you are on Windows, go to: https://support.hp.com/gb-en/drivers/printers

 

Enter your model and select it

 

Expand the "Printer Firmware..." section.

 

It may/should show a May 2023 update file, download and run the file and from there it should allow you to select your printer and update the firmware.

Now it is stuck saying 'verifying' on the printer, while an error on the computer says 'update failed'. It advises to restart the printer which I have done, but it still says the same.

Any ideas?
