Driver HP 5280 for windows 11

Hi,

I bought a laptop with Windows 11 which seems to be not compatible with my HP 5280 all in one printer. Installation of drivers via Windows failed, installations via dvd failed.

I read on this forum that I am not the only one having troubles, but previous posted links to drivers seem to be expired.

Could someone help me out with the right drivers to continue using my C5280 please? It is absurd to buy a new printer while the old one still works fine...

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

The printer was minimally supported in Windows 10 with the installation and use of the Microsoft Print Drivers.

True - the printer is not supported in Windows 11.

If you wish to do so, maintain a Windows 10 system for the purpose of using the printer.

 What else?

If you find no other options, this company specializes in Scan software for unsupported printers.

• Windows Fax and Scan: In Windows, search for and open Windows Fax and Scan. Click New Scan, and then select your printer.
• Windows Paint: In Windows, search for and open Paint. Click FileFrom scanner or camera.
• Windows Scan app: In Windows, search for and open the Windows Scan app. If it is not listed, go to Windows Scan (in English) to install it.
