Pain.PNGSo, the installation goes fine up until the point where you have to connect the USB cable from the printer to the computer and click next.

But when i plug it in the continue button is still greyed out! I have tried restarting the printer and the computer multiple times, but to no avail.

I have also tried going into device manager and uninstalling the printer, I also tried the same thing in Devices and Printers but that didn't work either.

It doesen't seem like anyone else has had this issue, so it would be great if we could find a solution.

Have you tried using another USB cable?

Please uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the full feature software

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’

6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Restart the computer and download the full feature software Link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL31022/tw-77183-3/CM2320series-full-solution-AM-EMEA1-v3... and follow the onscreen instructions

Note: Only connect the USB cable to the computer when prompted during the installation

Thank you

I haven't tried a different USB cable yet, but devmgmt seems to detect the printer when i plug it in to the computer so i think the cable is fine (I have also tried every USB port on my computer).

I had also tried your exact steps earlier when I was looking on this forum to see if anyone else had this problem. It didn't work.

Also, I have a driver for a different HP printer that I own already installed on my computer, do you think this could interfear with the installation?

Yes I suggest you try removing all the printer drivers from the computer, restart and then try installing the printer driver and check if that works

Else we could also try reinstalling the printer using the Windows Built In driver

First uninstall the printer software from root level once again and then install the Windows Native Driver

13.) Restart the computer and reinstall the printer driver using the Windows Built In driver and follow the onscreen Instructions
