Just replaced my old Laptop with an HP model. Assumed I have to download a printer driver to suit my existing HP Deskjet 2630 printer.

I have spent approximately 10 hours over 2 days going around in circles via HP Smart to download the appropriate driver. Because of this, I am on the point of discarding my HP printer and purchasing from another manufacturer but as the existing printer has given me good service, I'm reluctant to do so. HP Smart in its present form is, in my opinion, not fit for service and is driving people away from HP as can be seen in the HP Blog. Any advice will be appreciated. Many thanks in anticipation.

Thank you very much for your assistance which resolved my printer driver problem. Why i had to go through so much frustration to achieve what should have been a straightforward procedure beats me. Why can HP not put the same link in the App instructions.  Even the procedure of getting to this point of messaging the success of the advice given is not clear. HP technical writers please take note.
