Driver for HP Officejet 4500 G510n scanner and printer

Hi HP Community, 

I have a perfectly good HP Officejet 4500 G510n scanner and printer. I changed my laptop to a HP Envy and tried to load the printer driver software from the original printer CD. When I run the HP setup file from printer CD  I do not get an Install option, only an EXIT button. Its as if the INSTALL button was removed from menu selection, see below. I did have an INSTALL button when I previously installed from the this printer CD. 

Can the HP community advise what is happening here and possibly how I can resolve. I connect my printer to laptop using a USB cable but printer also has a wireless facility.

Hi @Larry1239 

That means that HP software is already installed and then you need to uninstall, restart your computer and try again to run installation software.

Follow steps from the next video to uninstall HP Software in Control Panel > Programs.

Hi FerRX,

Thank you for your reply and taking the time to review my problem. I have followed your instructions exactly as detailed and uninstalled the printer software from my computer. However, when I load the HP Officejet 4500 g510 printer CD, I get the same window screen per previous and below with no option to Install the software, only an EXIT button. Its as if an time lapse has expired which remover the INSTALL option. Do you have any other suggestions.
