My question is a simple one, and I'm hoping I'm being a moron, but here it goes...

Where on earth do I get a  plain old driver for my M234???

I have scoured HP's website and found nothing except for the suggestion to "Install HP Smart". Fun fact: HP Smart still does not allow me to install the printer. It states that I need an account. So I create an account (much to my chagrin), and fun fact: it still doesn't work.

Does anyone know of a way around this nonsense, or do I have to recommend that we keep away from HP printers in the future?

Thanks, and have a great day!

Regardless of driver, this device still needs to be connected to the internet to an HP account.

Have you tried the HP Universal Printer driver or Smart Universal Print driver?
