Hi there,

I have 2 issues after installing my OfficeJet Pro 9015:

1.  i installed the driver as instructed and noticed that the driver installed in not 9015 but shows up as Officejet pro 9010.  Is this normal or do I have a faulty installation.  If so, how do i correct this.  I tried a cold rest on the machine and reinstalled the drivers, still shows up as 9010.

2. I have been have wifi issues after the installation.  Several devices in my home lose their connection to the router.  I have to reboot the router each time.  Is this related to my first question?

Any help or direction would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hi,

For the driver name this is perfectly normal, a driver is always for a whole series and not for a specific printer model (9015/9018/9013 are all belong to 9010 Series)

For the wireless problem, please print and evaluate a Wireless Test Report:

  • From the home screen on the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon

  • Swipe up on the display, touch Reports, and then Wireless Test Report. A Wireless Network Test Results report prints.

Please review its top Diagnostics section, what exact information

is listed on the header of the printed report?

Hello and thanks for the reply.

Top banner:

More than one access point/wireless router has been found that matches your wireless network name (SSID).   If this is not intended, your HP printer may connect to the wrong wireless network. To avoid this, change your wireless network name to be unique. If you change your network name you will need to configure the ssid on all wireless devices...

Is the the information you requested?  I hope not as this frightens me LOL.

On another issue, how do I add this printer on other computers.  Namely on MACs.  My installation is on windows 10.

Thank you.

Hi,

This is related with the wireless problems you experience, due to having multiple access points with the same name, the different devices don’t communicate together among the different access points.

I suggest contacting your iSP and ensure that each access point has a unique SSID if you may have multiple access points around, if your router broadcast in both 2.4 and 5GHz bands, set a unique SSID for each band, and if your router manages Mesh capabilities, disable Mesh and test for any difference, the printer can work via a Mesh network, but that’s depends on its configuration and quality of the network itself.

Please perform the changes as suggested and check for any difference.
