Hi @Tom679,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Installing drivers for your HP LaserJet 100 Color MFP M175a printer is essential to ensure proper functionality. Here are step-by-step instructions to guide you through the driver installation process.

Visit the HP Support Website: Go to the official HP support website (https://support.hp.com) to download the latest driver for your printer. Make sure to enter the correct model number, i.e., LaserJet 100 Color MFP M175a.

Select Your Operating System: Choose your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux) and its version. Ensure that you download the correct driver that matches your operating system.

Download the Driver: Click on the download button to download the driver package to your computer. The file is typically in the form of an executable (.exe) file for Windows or a package (.dmg) file for macOS.

Install the Driver:

For Windows:

  • Locate the downloaded .exe file and double-click on it to run the installer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
  • Connect your printer to the computer when prompted or as per the installation instructions.

For macOS:

  • Locate the downloaded .dmg file and double-click on it to mount the disk image.
  • Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Connect your printer to the computer when prompted or as per the installation instructions.

Complete the Setup:

  • Once the installation is complete, restart your computer to ensure that the changes take effect.
  • After the restart, check if your printer is listed in the devices and printers section on your computer.

Test Your Printer:

  • Print a test page to ensure that the printer is functioning correctly.
  • If there are any issues, refer to the troubleshooting section in the printer manual or on the HP support website.

Automatic Driver Updates (Optional):

  • Consider enabling automatic driver updates if your operating system supports this feature. This ensures that your printer driver stays up-to-date.

Remember to consult the user manual for your printer if you encounter any issues during the installation process.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
