I understand you are getting the "driver is unavailable" error usually occurs when the correct driver for your printer is not installed or is corrupted on your laptop. Here's how to resolve this issue:
Step 1: Uninstall Any Existing Printer Drivers
- Remove the Printer from Windows:
- Press Win + I to open Settings.
- Navigate to Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select the HP ENVY Inspire 7200e, and click Remove device.
- Check for Leftover Drivers:
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- If you see your printer listed, right-click it and select Remove device.
- Press Win + R, type printui.exe /s, and press Enter.
- In the Print Server Properties window, go to the Drivers tab.
- If you see drivers for the HP ENVY Inspire 7200e, select them and click Remove.
Step 2: Download and Install the Correct Driver
- Visit HP’s Official Website:
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads.
- Search for HP ENVY Inspire 7200e series and select your exact model.
- Download the Driver:
- Choose Full Feature Software and Drivers or the recommended driver for your operating system (Windows 10/11).
- Install the Driver:
- Run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
Step 3: Set Up the Printer Again
- Add the Printer to Your Laptop:
- Press Win + I, navigate to Devices > Printers & scanners, and click Add a printer or scanner.
- Wait for your printer to appear and select it to complete the setup.
- Test Printing:
- Try printing a test page to ensure the setup works.
Step 4: Troubleshoot if Necessary
If the issue persists:
- Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
- This tool can automatically detect and fix printer-related issues.
- Ensure Windows Is Updated:
- Press Win + I to open Settings.
- Navigate to Update & Security > Windows Update, and click Check for updates.
