Laserjet 100 Color MFP M175a
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello.

I've recently upgraded my laptop and trying to download the driver software for my printer.

I followed the steps online inputting the model number to retrieve the download link.

I have tried a couple of times now but each time I arrive at the bellow error message before installation is complete.

I have searched online help but not much luck!.

Hoping someone may have some advice or better still a download link which works!

Thank you

@OK333,

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand, you're having an issue installing printer drivers,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

When was the last time it worked fine?

Does this happen while downloading printer full feature drivers?

Are you able to print using another PC?

Let's try these steps to resolve the issue:

Download and Run HP Print and Scan Doctorftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

Root Level Uninstall and Reinstall printer drivers:

  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP LaserJet printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  • Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
  • Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
  • Again, go to run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

To reinstall, click here: https://hp.care/2qsHi7w.

If the issue persists, try installing Windows Built-in Print Driverhttps://hp.care/2igKeU1.

For Scanning purpose, use HP Scan and Capture Apphttps://hp.care/2fAFYxE.

If the problem continues, create a new user accountClick Here and then install printer drivers.

Let me know how this goes,

For I shall follow-up on this case to ensure the concern has been addressed,

And your device is up and running again,

Have a great day 🙂

Cheers 🙂

Hi flower_ bud

I have the same problem as @OK333. Am glad you had posted the solution !

I have a question on your reply to @OK333 :

In my HP laptop running Windows 10, the following were found in  the Device and Printer

- Fax

-OnNote

-Microsoft Print To PDF

- HP ePrint + JetAdvantge

-Microsoft XPS Document Writer

-Send to OneNote 2019

-Root Print Queue

++ LaserJet 100 Color MFP M175a was not listed inside

My question is  : Am I supposed to delete or uninstall all of them before I install the LaserJet 100 Color MFP M175a driver again ? What will happen to the other drivers ? Will Windows 10  reinstall them automatically upon reboot ?

Thank you !
