Hi
In the System Spec for the Smart Tank 5105 (https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c08436546) it states that windows 7 SP1 is supported. Unfortunately the installation software tries to open Edge Viewer, which needs Windows 10, and subsequently stops the install. I have tried contacting support to see where I can download the correct drivers, but apart from advising me to update to windows 10, got no answer. If HP specifies windows 7 then I think they should provide the drivers as well. Windows 10 is not an option as I have old programms that only run under win7. Any ideas? If I could get the drivers without the Edge requirement I could install them, or is there a standard driver I could use.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
regrds Chris

Hi Shlomi,
many thanks for your solution. The printer install worked fine. The HP Smart only showed the printer so I selected the scan installer HP-USS Basic and now I have a separate scan assistant. It doesn't look as smart as it would in one app like the Windows 11 version, but I can live with that as long as it works.
Thanks again for your help
Cheers
Chris

Hi,
The Full Feature Software offline installer should work with Windows 7 SP1, please download and install below drivers to complete the installation:
If you experience any issues during the process or being prompt to use Edge only, please click Start > Run and type %temp%
Press OK and locate the latest changed HP installation folder, which begins with 7Z (e.g. 7z1234A) within this folder.
Expend the Drivers folder.
Right-click the 'S5100x64.msi' file and select install, then complete the software installation.
Once the installation completes, open 'HP Smart Tank 5100 series' from within the Starts menu and complete the device configuration to install the printer.
Please let me know how it goes,
Shlomi
