HP tech support uninstalled the driver for my HP Envy 5540 when they accessed my computer to fix a cartridge problem.but found there is no driver available for this model anymore. Their only recommendation is to get a new printer. However, my printer prints perfectly to my daughter's printer with no problem at all. I'm hoping there's a resource somewhere so i can find a working drive for my perfectly good printer. When I go to HP website and enter printer model message just says "not under warranty' and "portal unavailable"

Hi @Lexie90 ,
Well, I don´t know 🤔
Maybe this error is because you have a Windows 10 - 32 bits system.
Ok, then try with the next driver for Windows 32-bits

Thanks for answering so quickly. Your link took me to the same page I went to earlier and got the same message portal unavailable. Is it possible to find a second hand driver that would work with my printer?
I miswrote in my original posting - my printer didn't print the document because it's labelled "uninstalled'
so my computer doesn't see the printer any more. . But I tested it using the scan and copy features and it works fine.

FerRX Thanks for trying to help but this was pretty bad. I used your link and it downloaded a Quick Driver Update. But all that downloaded was a blue square with their logo on that completely blocked my screen . There were no prompts so I waited about 10 minutes, then tried to remove/delete the big square. Could not remove it, closed this website and the square was still on my desktop blocking my screen. I had to shut down computer to remove it. Can you explain?

Hi @Lexie90 ,
Probably you need to remove any HP previous printer software.
1. Please follow steps from next video to remove printer driver:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRlx0arzY2s&ab_channel=Cond%C3%A9Systems
2. Restart your computer.
3. After that try to reinstall the Basic driver software, previously mentioned.

Thanks again for responding. There are no drivers listed in printer properties - just the serial number of the printer. I Do not see reference to printer driver anywhere. HP tech support said they uninstalled the driver but never said they deleted or removed the driver.

I used your link, it listed my printer's name and model on my computer,i I gave all permissions, it went through extractions, new window said software was installed and started to activate. Then a new window opened with these messages: "We don't support this device or operating system" "Currently don't support mobile setup from this device or operating system" "Tap here for more options" I tapped that spot but only a chime sounded and nothing else happened.
My computer is a PC, could the software be for a different operating system?
