@DenisePell, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error message "Driver is unavailable" on your HP printer typically means that the printer driver is either missing, corrupted, or incompatible with your current Windows version. Since you can print from your iPhone, the printer itself and network connectivity are fine — the issue is isolated to your Windows computer.

Here's how to fix it:

Uninstall the Existing Printer Driver

  • Press Windows + R, type control printers, and press Enter.
  • Right-click your HP printer → Remove device.
  • Open Device Manager (Win + X → Device Manager).
  • Expand Printers and Print queues. Right-click any HP-related driver and choose Uninstall device.

Reinstall the Printer Using HP Smart (Recommended)

  • Go to the HP Smart app download page and install the app from the Microsoft Store.
  • Open HP Smart → Click Add Printer → Follow the prompts to reinstall it.

Make sure your printer and PC are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Alternative: Install Full Feature Driver from HP Website

  • Go to https://support.hp.com
  • Enter your printer model (e.g., HP DeskJet 2700, OfficeJet Pro 8025e, etc.).
  • Download the Full Feature Software and Driver.
  • Install it, then restart your computer.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Optional)

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
