Hi,
I would like to have drivers for the HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 for Windows Server 2019.
In addition, I cannot set up the scan to email process with my stmp server.
Does the printer support the scan to email with the company (SMTP) server?
Cheers,

Hi @cirosirignano,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are looking for drivers for the HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 for Windows Server 2019, you typically have a few options:
- Official Website: Visit the official HP website and navigate to the support section. There, you should be able to find drivers compatible with Windows Server 2019 for the OfficeJet Pro 7740. HP usually provides drivers for various operating systems, including server editions. Software and Drivers for HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer series
- Driver Installation Package: Sometimes, HP printers come with installation packages that include drivers for various operating systems, including server editions. Check the installation CD or package that came with your printer.
- Windows Update: Windows Server 2019 might have built-in drivers or may obtain compatible drivers through Windows Update. You can try connecting the printer to the server and allowing Windows Update to search for drivers automatically.
- Regarding the scan to email process with your SMTP server, the HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 supports scan to email functionality. However, the ability to configure it to work with your company's SMTP server depends on several factors:
- Compatibility: Ensure that your SMTP server supports the necessary authentication methods and protocols that the printer requires for sending emails.
- Settings Configuration: Access the printer's settings menu, usually through its web interface or control panel. Navigate to the scan to email settings and input the SMTP server details provided by your company's IT department.
- Authentication: If your SMTP server requires authentication, ensure that you input the correct credentials (username and password) in the printer's settings.
- Security: Verify that any security measures such as firewall settings or restrictions on the SMTP server side don't block the printer from sending emails.

I found a solution.
I downloaded the .exe that wasn't and gave me the error.
I used a winar program to extract the file .inf.
I use the file in the folder to reset the drive in my print management and the printer started working.
I'm still figuring out how make the scan to email works.
Cheers,
