Hi,
I'm running my laptop on Windows 10 and my Envy 4524 printer randomly stopped printing in colour. I followed the HP guidance and uninstalled the printer driver and removed the printer from devices and printers and I also restarted my laptop.
I then tried to install the printer driver again and it wont install as the software just runs and then quickly says installation complete which it's not as not showing anywhere.
I also use the printer with a 2nd laptop which also wouldn't print in colour and I followed the same process but this works fine.
How do I get the software installed and the printer working again?

Hi @HelenHol
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you. Let us try these steps:
Let us install the printer using the IP address which may resolve not printing in color issue.
- On the PC, go to Control panel > Devices and printers > Add a printer(at the top)
- Under 'Choose a device or printer', click on 'The printer I want isn't listed'.
- Select 'Add a printer using a TCP/IP address'
- Find the IP address of the printer by tapping on the wireless icon on the printer screen
- Type in the 'IP address in Hostname or IP address' box, click next
- Proceed to the next steps by following the on-screen instructions.
- Try printing in color.
If the issue persists, Install the printer using Windows built-in driver
Refer to this document to know how. Try printing.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
