Microsoft Windows 11

Hello All,

I need some help as im at my wits end.

I am trying to connect my deskjet F4180 to my new laptop. When i search for the necassary drivers it advises to use the CD that was supplied with the all in one when i purchased it. Trouble is my new laptop doesnt have a CD drive!

The windows troubleshooter isnt able to help as it cant find the device.

Any help would be appreciated, please.

Ok @cmwnld

If the message for printer is showing "No device found" then you should check the USB cable connection.

Probably you need to change the USB cable and check with a new one.

When i use the add device in the windows printer & scanners option it can find the device.

Also in the help section in the HP assistance it doesnt give me the option to download a driver. it only returns me to the original CD rom. I dont have this anymore and my new laptop doesnt have a CD drive.

Any other locations i might be able to get the necassary drivers?

Thank you for the driver.

Unfortunately it is still staying that the printer cannot be located and i can print/scan anything as the appropriate software is not available. I have tried using the HP Scan Doctor but will little success as it takes me back to the website to download a driver that doesnt exist other than on the original CD.
