Hi @ojjjo
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To resolve the issue with installing the driver for your HP LaserJet 1102w on macOS 15.0.1 without downgrading your OS, you can try the following steps:
1. Download Updated Drivers from HP
- Go to the HP support website and search for the HP LaserJet 1102w.
- Look for any updated drivers compatible with macOS 15.0.1. Sometimes, newer versions might be available that support newer macOS releases.
2.Use AirPrint
- If your printer supports AirPrint, you can use this feature:
- Go to Printers & Scanners in System Preferences.
- Click the + button to add a printer.
- Look for your HP LaserJet 1102w in the list and see if it supports AirPrint. Select it to add.
3. Install Driver via CUPS
- Open a web browser and go to http://localhost:631. This opens the CUPS (Common UNIX Printing System) interface.
- Click on Administration and then Add Printer.
- Follow the prompts to add your HP printer. CUPS might have a compatible driver available.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thank you. Using AirPrint on macOS 15.1.1 (24B91) to add the printer as new did work to update my driver from version 3.0 to 4.0.
However, the driver available for download on HP Support is version 5.1. Wondering what the changes in 5.0 and 5.1 are, and if and when HP plans to make it work on 15.1.1 if it is already certified for 15.0, either in an installer or through macOS AirPrint.
Thanks,
Michael Zed.
