My old Photosmart C7280 All-in-one still works fine, but I have a new HP desktop computer and can no longer find drivers to download for the older printer. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are unable to find a driver for your printer, I am glad to assist you.

There is no Windows 10 specific driver available for this printer model.

However, you can try to install printer using Windows built-in driver and check if that works.

Here are the steps:- Click here

So I tried adding the printer as you suggested. The application did find the printer following the "The printer that I want isn't listed." prompt, and found a driver for it so I was able to add the printer. HOWEVER the test print using that driver came out as garbage in the form of page after page of one or two lines of gobbledygook.

This might require remote access to the computer to fix the issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

Let me know how it goes.
