Hi @s5306uk,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
HP Deskjet F2480 is an older printer model, and HP may not have provided official Windows 11 drivers for it. However, you can try the following steps to see if you can get it working.
- Windows Update: First, ensure that your Windows 11 operating system is up to date. Sometimes, Microsoft includes drivers for older printers in their updates.
- HP Support Website: Visit the HP support website (https://support.hp.com/) and search for the Deskjet F2480 printer model. Check if there are updated drivers available specifically for Windows 11. Even if they don't have Windows 11 drivers, you may be able to find Windows 10 drivers that are compatible with Windows 11.
- Compatibility Mode: If you can only find Windows 10 drivers, try installing them in compatibility mode. Right-click the driver installer, select 'Properties,' go to the 'Compatibility' tab, and enable compatibility mode for Windows 10.
- Windows Built-in Drivers: Windows may have built-in drivers for your printer. Try connecting the printer to your computer and letting Windows search for and install the drivers automatically.
- HP Printer Assistant: If the printer drivers are installed but you're having trouble using the scanner, consider using HP's scanning software, such as HP Printer Assistant. This software often includes scanning functionality.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
