Followed all of the steps provided. Finalising the install using HP app and unable to locate drivers, so installation halted.

Hi! I’ve seen this happen before with the DeskJet 4222e and Windows 11. If the HP Smart app gets stuck trying to find the drivers, one thing that usually helps is downloading the full driver package directly from HP’s website instead of relying on the app. Just go to the support page, pick Windows 11 if it’s not already selected, and look for the full software package — not just the basic driver.
Also, try uninstalling and reinstalling the HP Smart app if you haven’t already. Sometimes it just needs a fresh start. After uninstalling, restart your computer, then grab a clean copy of the app from the Microsoft Store.
Another thing to check — sometimes antivirus or firewall software blocks parts of the installation, especially during driver setup. If you're comfortable, you might try temporarily disabling it while you're installing.
If none of that works, you can also try using HP’s Print and Scan Doctor tool. It’s free and usually good at spotting what’s going wrong behind the scenes.
