Envy 4520
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello.  The Envy 4520 has stopped printing on both sides since being configured with a new HP desktop.  Following other posts that suggest going into the printer properties/device setting tab, when doing so, there is not an option for duplex printing.  The only drop down option listed is for Microsoft IPP class driver/Form to tray option.  Nothing else.  Under the General tab it does say that double-sided is Yes.  I have not been able to locate a way to download the duplex driver.  Looking for help to resolve this (annoying) issue.  Many thanks!

If the Microsoft IPP driver has installed then likely it does not support duplex printing. Features with IPP drivers are very limited. You should install the HP specific driver for your device. Just to clarify, the drop down options look like this:

Once again, there aren't any additional drop down option under device settings to choose from.  I've had this printer for a few years and had never had issues with duplex printing.  Just recently it stopped printing on both sides.  I am also unable to locate the duplex unit driver to download.  That's why I'm posting.

You initial post and follow up are not clear on what method you used to install. It really sounds like the connection was completed by an auto installing Microsoft driver. The install for this is done using the smart app.

If this is the method you used, it may have been gone wrong, in that case please screenshot the advanced tab of the pritner properties window so I can see which driver is installed.
