HP Smart Tank 7605

Got an error message if EBS00P0010 setting up my HP Smart Tank 7605 printer. Entered country and language on screen. Now appears stuck on message "The HP software is setting up your printer"

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

 

Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
  • Unplug it from the wall outlet and wait for 1-2 minutes.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Check if it resumes the setup process or if it gets past the message.

Check the Internet Connection

Ensure that your printer is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. Sometimes the setup process gets stuck if the printer isn't able to establish a reliable connection to the internet.

  • You can try to reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi by accessing the network settings on the printer.

Check for Software Updates

If you’re using the HP Smart App on your computer or phone to complete the setup:

  • Make sure that the HP Smart App is updated to the latest version.
  • Restart the app, or try using the printer's touchscreen interface to complete the setup instead

Re-run the HP Smart Setup

  • On your computer or mobile device, open the HP Smart App and try re-running the setup from there. If the app was interrupted earlier, this can help you reset the process and reconnect with the printer.
  • Alternatively, you can visit HP's support website, download the latest printer drivers and software, and manually install them on your computer.

Check for Printer Firmware Update

  • Sometimes, an outdated firmware version can cause the printer setup to freeze. If you’re able to connect to the internet on the printer’s screen, check if a firmware update is available.

Reset the Printer to Factory Settings

If nothing else works, you can reset the printer to its factory settings and start the setup again.

  • On the Home screen of the printer display, touch (Menu). 
  • Scroll down to touch Tools.
  • Touch Maintenance. 
  • Touch Restore Settings, and then select the option to restore factory defaults.
