Hi @Excelsior42,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code EBS00P0007 on your HP OfficeJet 8015e typically indicates an issue related to the printer's setup or network configuration. Since it's a brand-new printer and you're unable to complete the setup or find a firmware update, here are some steps to help you resolve the issue:

Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Check Network and Connectivity

Ensure Network Connection:

  • Make sure your printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network or wired network, depending on your setup. Verify that your network is functioning and other devices can connect to it.

Check Network Settings:

  • Ensure that your network settings are correct. Sometimes, network issues can prevent proper setup. If you’re using Wi-Fi, ensure the printer is within range of your router.

2. Perform a Hard Reset

Power Cycle the Printer:

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Wait for about 30 seconds.
  3. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Reset Network Settings:

  • On the printer’s control panel, navigate to the network settings and perform a network reset or default settings reset. This can help clear any network configuration issues.

3. Reconfigure Printer Setup

Run Printer Setup Again:

  • If possible, try to run the initial setup process again. Follow the setup instructions carefully, ensuring that you connect to the correct Wi-Fi network and enter the correct password.

Use HP Smart App:

  • Download and install the HP Smart app on your computer or smartphone. This app can guide you through the setup process and might help resolve configuration issues.

4. Check for Firmware Updates

Verify Firmware Version:

  • Although you mentioned no firmware update is available, ensure you have checked the latest updates on the HP Support website. Sometimes updates are released after the initial product launch.

5. Check Printer Hardware

Inspect for Physical Issues:

  • Ensure that there are no visible issues with the printer’s hardware, such as loose parts or obstructions.

Verify Cartridge Installation:

  • Check that the ink cartridges are properly installed and seated correctly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
