ENVY 6000
iOS

I just unboxed my new HP ENVY 6000 and my installation stops at "Finishing connections" on my iPhone, while the printer itself gives an E0 error (unusable cartridge) after installing the cartridges from the box itself. I cleaned the cartridges, reinserted these and switched the printer off/on, but to no avail. The HP SMART App on my iPhone beeps every few minutes reminding me that the installation is "not quite done yet", but when I connect, it just keeps looping at "Finishing connections". Any suggestions as this is really frustrating.

@Bart69, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Kindly refer to this document for assistance on the first-time setup. To know how to print from an iOS device, refer to this document.

An E0 error indicates an unusable cartridge.

This condition occurs when at least one ink cartridge needs attention, is faulty, incorrect, missing, damaged, or incompatible. Reseat both ink cartridges, clean the ink cartridge contacts, restart the printer, and replace one or both ink cartridges if necessary.

Make sure the plastic tape if any is removed from the new ink cartridge before placing it in the printer.

Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

If the issue with the ink cartridge persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
