HP Laserjet P2055d
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello

Since december 3rd, after an automatic windows update, my two LaserJet p2055d printers stopped working when connected to a laptop with windows 10 64bit OS, displaying a '49 Err 3D910C8' error message.

Both printers continue to work fine when connected with a PC with windows 7.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printers with the newest as well with older drivers (18849), but nothing seems to work.   '49 Err 3D910C8' still there.

Any solutions?

best regards,

Pasqué

I have had problems with my HP Laser Jet P2055d

Just spent 2 hours getting it to print again after latest update

1. Uninstall printer

2. Uninstall HP Smart program - if on your PC - my printer would not work while this program was installed

3. I installed HP Universal printing PCL 6 v6.4.1 (I know this worked, so used it - there is a more recent driver that may also work - just make sure you uncheck the part of install that asks if you want to have the Smart program or similar program installed

4 Turn on printer and run troubleshooting to get it as the default and saying the device works - it may still not print

5 Reboot computer and open the printer and on Properties > advanced > new driver - install the 6.4.1 version

6 Reboot computer again, and again - it took me 2 more times to get the printer to work.

I think the key was to make sure the HP Smart program was not installed, as it cannot see the P2055d for some reason.

Good luck

Hi Pasqué,

I had help you slove this erro with 14 steps and you used CClean software ago some days.

If you still saw this erro, please retry follow these steps (18 steps fully and excactly):

  1. Turn off your printer.
  2. Go to Control panel/Programs and feature, select all the HP LaserJet printer entries and uninstall them.
  3. Now go to Control Panel/Devices and printer, select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  4. Restart your computer.
  5. Click the bottom-left "Start" button on desktop, type "Device manager" in the search box and tap "Device Manager" on the menu.
  6. Once in "Device manager", click on the "View" tab in the top & choose “Show hidden devices”.
  7. Then from the "Device manager" list, check the entries under “Printer”  – If there are any entries, please right click and choose “Uninstall” – In the confirm device uninstall popup, make sure you select the box which says “Delete the driver software for this device".
  8. Also, check the entries under "Printer queue" and "Imaging devices" and repeat the same exercise. Delete any printer entry or any entry which says “Unknown device”.
  9. Once done, close device-manger. Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
  10. Under print server properties, go to “Drivers” and remove any entry there as well.
  11. Again, go to the Run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to “Hewlett Packard” folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
  12. Once the PC is on the desktop, press Win + R, it would bring a Run dialog box,
  13. Type %temp% in the run box and click Ok or hit the Enter button. It would bring up the temporary files folder. Delete the files in the folder (you might not be able to delete all the files).
  14. Now restart your computer again.
  15. Run "upd-pcl6-x64-6.0.0.18849.exe".
  16. The end, you turn on the printer and wait some minutes to windows find and know your printer.
  17. Restart your computer again.
  18. Go “Devices and Printers”, if you only see your printer is finish.

Hope this helps.
