Hi @Azzy12

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

The error code "OXC4E89349" on your HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer usually indicates a system or firmware-related issue.

Here’s how you can troubleshoot and potentially resolve this error:

Step 1: Perform a Printer Reset

Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.

Wait for at least 60 seconds.

Plug it back in and turn the printer on.

A reset can sometimes clear system errors.

Step 2: Update Firmware

Check if your printer's firmware is up to date:

HP regularly releases new firmware versions for printer enhancements, app updates, or issue fixes. Update the firmware regularly to get the most out of your printer.

Click on the link below for instructions on how to update the firmware of your printer.

Step 3: Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions

Open the printer and inspect all areas (input tray, output tray, and cartridge access area) for stuck paper or debris.

Gently remove anything you find and close all access doors securely.

Step 4: Reinstall Cartridges

Remove the ink cartridges while the printer is turned on.

Inspect the cartridges and the cartridge slot for any residue or damage.

Reinsert the cartridges carefully and ensure they are properly seated.

Step 5: Run Diagnostics

Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool to identify and resolve hardware or software issues. You can download it from the HP Support website.

Hi @hawks_eye thanks for replying. So I tried all your recommendations and to no avail!!

the issue I have is the error code appears stuck on the display. So when even trying to use my smart app on phone it cannot locate my printer via WiFi/bluetooth….the blue light on printer doesn’t blink or is still which would indicate it can be detected on the app….the ink one chamber is empty and other I can’t get to…I know usually the ink will automatically reel towards the left (me facing printer) which allows me to access cartridges but not whilst error code in play. Mind you last week I managed to change ink and print but code has reappeared!!
