EWS administrator-password reset for a DeskJet 3639

Hello,

I have an HP DeskJet 3639 and I changed the administrator password for the Embedded Web Server (EWS), but unfortunately I can no longer remember it.

I have already tried restoring the printer’s network settings by pressing the Wireless and Cancel buttons, but this only resets the Wi-Fi configuration and does not appear to remove the EWS administrator password.

I have also tried accessing the EWS using:

• Username: admin

• Password: blank

• The first 16 characters of the password I may have used

Unfortunately, none of these options worked.

I found other posts from users with the same issue where an HP representative contacted them privately. Could someone please provide the correct procedure to perform a full factory reset or reset the EWS administrator password on an HP DeskJet 3639?
