Two printers have the same problem. A blank page is loaded from the EWS. Opened from several different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Falkon). Scan to network folder does not work. How to fix?Screenshot web page
Error. Attempting to scan to a network folder.
HP LaserJat Pro MFP M428fdn and HP LaserJat Pro MFP M428fdw. Firmware Revision: TETONXXXXN002.2322C.00. Ethernet connection (wired). Ping to printers is available.
Web Access Test Results: No problems found. Your printer has access to the Internet, which is required for Web service.
Printing works on computers configured before the problem appeared. And scanning from a computer works via ethernet.

We have the exact same problem for approx. the past month with a HP MFP M479 (exact model Color Laserjet Pro MFP M479fdn) since approx. the past month as well. And, same as you, printing works fine, scanning from remote computer and SNMP monitoring (PrintAudit) is getting correct information.
We see the issue with Chrome (Version 116) and Edge (Version 115) browsers.
Strange that this issue has occurred around the same time as you reported it. Could it be a firmware update? I can't report the printer firmware without EWS access.

An update on this:
We have just tested this issue on a Windows 10 PC (same versions of Edge & Chrome) and found that the issue did NOT occur. Our original tests, where the error occurred, were on Windows 11. So this points to some compatibility issue between EWS and Windows 11.
We can work around this temporarily using the Windows 10 PC, but long term this will need a fix in the printer EWS (firmware update I guess?).

Hi,
I've got the similar problem here with my M479, firmware 002.2322C, only slightly different.
If I load EWS in any browser (Edge, Opera, Chrome, etc.) from the Intranet there is no problem, all parts of the pages load correctly and completely.
The problem with the partially loaded page only occurs, when I access the EWS from the Internet, either via http or https (Fritz!Box port forwarding set up).
It seems, that the EWS starts to build up the page but is unable to load some package or script or css-part.
This is definitely caused by the last firmware update. All worked fine before.
I instantly would downgrade the firmware, but HP not only blocks any downgrade but also disabled the option to block automatic firmware updates at all. This would be no problem, if HP's published firmwares had no bugs, but ....
Hopefully HP developers read our discussion here and debug the problem.
Regards

Yes, I can call the EWS being within the same LAN via local IP https://IP
I set up port forwarding in my Fritz!Box and the calling the page through DynDNS only loads it partially as seen in the first post here.

We found out what was causing this issue for us, and a workaround, as follows:
- We were using a hostname (printer, what else!) to connect to the EWS, rather than the actual IP address. Hostname added to the Windows hosts file. So using a URL https://printer generates this error.
- When we tried to access via IP instead, e.g. https://192.168.1.200, it loads fine.
I'm not sure why the hostname rather than IP address should fail, but looking at some of the other posts I see here I guess it is some kind of known issue. Any, this workaround is good for us for now, but would be preferable to have it fixed in a future firmware.
