HP ENVY 6032 All-In-One Printer

Hello,

I recently needed to change my wifi. I changed it for my printer and laptop and got it all connected again. so I have the printer saying it is online and ready to go. however when i go to print from word it tells me ''print from anywhere is unavailable and to go to settings''.

when I go to Account Dashboard, click Solutions, Print Anywhere is nowhere to be seen? so I cant change this making it impossible to change meaning i cant print. why would this all change when all I did is reconnect the printer with a new wifi?

any help would be great?

Thank you

Carl

Uninstall HP Smart then re-install it.

To install the latest versions, run  WSRESET.EXE from the windows search bar  and then select HP Smart from the Microsoft Store app

WSRESET is explained here

let me know if there is a problem

hi,

thank you for your message i have just now tried uninstalling and reinstalling HP-smart and this has not fixed the problem. is there anything else you can think of trying?

The latest version as of Jun, 2024 is 154.2.1072.0 (USA English). If you do not have this version then go to the Microsoft store, find HP Smart, and click "update". If the button "update" is missing then you need to run "wsreset" from the Windows search bar.

i had version 131.whatever for several years before I realize that the Microsoft Store was not showing me the latest versions

All I can think of is to refer you to this

I assume everything else works: printer, scanner, copier, fax, etc correct?

I am glad you got it working.

Question:  When "print anywhere" failed, was it just HP Smart that failed?

If both HP Smart and your PC were unable to print, then the problem may be the printer waking up from sleep and getting a different IP address.

If the problem happens again, access the EWS port and disable sleep

Access the printers embedded web page and set sleep of off or never.

Alternately, go into the modem, find the printer, and change the DHCP allocation to be fixed

This is much more difficult. Let me know if you wan to try this and I can help you.
