'Encryption credentials expired' error message for Photosmart D7360 printer

'Encryption credentials expired' error message using Photsmart D7360 printer wired to an iMac. None of the solutions offered work.

Could not access EWS, even when I found IP address, or what I think is the IP address.

Apple released a new software package that includes this printer today.

It should automatically update through Apple Software Update but if it does not you can download it from here.

Unfortunately installing the new printer software did not fix the problem. When I tried to print I received the message "'Filter' failed.

The  information along with the "Filter failed" message read:

One or more components of the HP printing software are corrupted or missing. The print job cannot be completed. To fix this situation, HP recommends reinstalling the print driver software.

Immediately after reinstalling the new drivers (and after restarting the computer) printing still did not work. BUT printing worked normally the next morning. Go figure!
