Hello,
I've had an HP Envy 4502 for years now and never had a problem that basic troubleshooting wouldn’t solve until now. It's currently connected to my Windows 10 desktop.
My printer cannot be detected wirelessly no matter what I do. I've restarted the router, unplugged the printer, selected the restore factory settings on the printer itself, uninstalled and reinstalled the both the software package and the drivers, and used both wireless direct and normal wireless settings on the printer. None of these have helped. I've followed the troubleshooting steps on the website as well as installed the HP Print and Scan Doctor. The HPPSD just keeps saying that Updates require a restart which ive done 6 times now to the same effect and it never gets past the Printer being offline bullet.
I can connect perfectly fine when I borrow my friends USB cable, and it even shows all the wireless settings/connects to online services. Using the USB connection permanently is not an option in our current office setup.
Thank you for any information you may have that will help me with this problem!

Well I figured it out apparently. I ran the HP Print and Scan Doctor on the printer as a USB connection and went through the whole process. Then I did it again as the wireless and got to the same point of it saying the printer was offline and needed a restart to apply updates.
After restarting and continuing the HPPSD it finished with no issues and I'm printing fine wirelessly again, 6th times the charm it would seem. Sorry for solving my own problem so quickly after posting, feel free to lock or archive this post as my problem is now solved!
Thank you and sorry for the false alarm
