After updating to the latest drivers for the HP 4520, it no longer prints in color. In fact if I select Color it gets flipped back to monochrome after hitting OK. I was about to re-enact the scene from The Office and take a baseball bat to this printer when I found a post that suggested using a different driver. Indeed, selecting the driver for the Envy 7640 fixed this problem. I have no idea what other issues this will cause, but at least I can print in color again.
HP, please fix the driver fro the 4520. It is broken. For the love of humanity! I just lost almost an entire days of my life due to this nonsense. Thank you.

Hi,
Try following below specific version of the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility by selecting your printer:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe
Be sure to restart your PC and allow the utility to complete the process, then check for any difference.
Try printing and check for any change, if the same remains try printing using the newly added print queue copy (Copy1) and check for any difference.
