The subject says it all!

When I try to print anything, instead of printing, I get a file open box comes up asking me for the name of the .prn file I want to print to.

Using the Print Doctor finds the printer, lets me print an INTERNAL test page, but when I try to print the external test page, just asks for a .prn file name again.  Then I jiust go round and round in circles.  I have followed instructions to delete the printer and re-install with the latest software, but I get exactly the same thing.  Hopeless.

Note: the printer used to print perfectly. I suspect it stopped after a Win10 update, but I can't be sure.

Asmita's solution worked. The Windows 10 update made my printer useless. And that's the only possibility, because it was fine until I downloaded it last night.
