I keep getting notifications telling me my printer will be unusable from the 14th if I do not update.

 

I have had numerous attempts at this - to which all goes ok, the updates is downloaded, then installed followed by an "update successful" message.

The printer then restarts only to have a message saying "unfortunately the recent update was unsuccessful - please try again"

After saying it was! I am on the fifth attempt to do this.

 

I have followed a suggestion on here to restore to factory settings, remove inks, unplug power lead for 15 seconds or more, plug power back in, install inks once the printer powered up, and try once again to update the firmware.

I get the same result - appears to be successful, restarts and then changes its mind.

Help please!

I'd like to help!

 

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

 

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
