Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Tried to print some photos and every time i selected colour print within the print program, it would default again back to monochrome before printing in black and white. Glossy paper was selected.

I updated the firmware and that did not fix

So i uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled

On reinstalling the software seems to load, but no launchable software installed

Print can still print in black and white (still defaults to this when changing to colour)

Will not print on both sides (it only offer manual reinsertion of pages) even though have the duplex unit set as installed and select print on both sides 

I have unistalled and reinstalled multiple times, removed the printer from windows

Nothing seems to fix it

Hi,

Try following below version of the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility by selecting your printer:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

 

Be sure to restart your PC and allow the utility to complete the process, then check for any difference.

 

Try printing and check for any change, if the same remains try printing using the newly added print queue copy and check.

I have an Envy 4523 printer, previously working fine, i tried to print a photo, selected colour, it kept defaulting to monochrome. i updated the firmware of the printer, now it will not not only not print in colour, but the duplex printing has stopped. i have uninstalled and reinstalled the software, remove the device the device from windows. On reinstalling the software says it installs, but there are no launchable apps.I have basic printing capability, but still cannot print in colour or have automatic duplex printing,even though it is set to do so. on the advise of the community manager i installed print and scan doctor, i ran that and it stated i have registry issues

No software will install even though it says it does

Have you tried following the utility from the link included in my post?

 

There are different Print and Scan Doctor versions, please give it a try by following my steps above and let me know the results.

i USED THE LINK AND RAN THE PROGRAM, it stated i had registry issues

Asked me to uninstall and reinstall the the driver which actioned, but again no utilities installed

then ran again and said i had no software installed

Installed again and still no programs installed

Checked the HP files and only kb of data in there
