Hi @Bek12,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the touch screen on your HP ENVY 5020 All-In-One Printer is not working, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and from the wall outlet.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then into the printer.
  • Turn the printer back on and check if the touch screen is responsive.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • With the printer on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait for 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then into the printer.
  • Turn the printer back on.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page.
  • Enter your printer model (HP ENVY 5020) and check for any available firmware updates.
  • Follow the instructions to download and install the update.

Perform a Partial Reset:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  • Press and hold the power button on the printer for at least 15 seconds.
  • While holding the power button, plug the power cord back into the printer.
  • Release the power button once the printer begins to turn on.

Clean the Touch Screen:

  • Gently clean the touch screen with a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

Check for Obstructions:

  • Make sure there is no dust, dirt, or debris around the edges of the touch screen that might be interfering with its functionality.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
