How to get my Envy 5660 printer working. Have tried to reinstall drivers, remove and re-install printer, etc. Cannot access printer with HP software. It is present on the network, installed, default and passes local test print. It can be used by other networked computers. Just not my laptop. I cannot uninstall or re-install the HP printer software. Says the Call to Driver package un-install (or install) returned Error 5 for package C:\\Windows\System32\DriverStore\.....etc I have tried from user and Admin accounts. Same error.

The only option left is to reset your PC. Refer to the document HP PCs - Resetting Your Computer (Windows 10) for help.
Now reinstall the printer drivers and try printing.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

@Name56, Welcome to HP Support Community!
This looks like an issue with the drivers installed. Let us try to isolate and resolve the issue-
Restart the print spooler and try uninstalling the drivers
Press “Windows key” + “r” to get the “Run” window.
Type "services.msc" to get Services – Go to “Print spooler” – Right-click and “Stop” the service.
Now again open "Run" - Type “spool” and ok - Go to PRINTERS folder - delete everything in that folder.
Go to services again - Start the print spooler.
Now uninstall and reinstall the printer driver. Follow the steps below-
1) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2) Select your HP Printer
3) Select Uninstall
4) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe”
8).Click on the “Drivers” tab
9) Look for the HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10) Select Ok
11) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12) Close Devices and Printers.
Now, download and install the full-featured software from here.
If the issue persists, I would suggest you try the Windows built-in drivers. Follow the steps below:
• Go to Control Panel - Devices and Printers - Click on "Add printer" and follow the on-screen instructions.
• When the page prompts for the drivers, select "Windows update". The driver list will be updated.
• Click HP, Hewlett Packard, or Hewlett-Packard in the Manufacturer pane, and then click the name of your printer in the Printers pane.
Refer to this document HP Printers - Installing and Using the Windows Built-in Print Driver for help.
Let me know the outcome.

Printer is on my network. Connected via wifi. I cannot uninstall all HP entries! The error states the uninstall fails!
I get stuck at Uninstall.
Call to DriverPackageUninstall returned error 5 for package "C:WINDOWS\System32\DriverStore\File Repository\hpwia_en5660.inf_amd64_38fdf38e725f161f\hpwia_en5660.inf" A call of DriverPackageInstall must be a member of the Administrators group to install a driver package.

It still doesn't work but for a different reason. After installation of printer and driver, test produces Print ERROR message but no explanation. This is on a Dell Inspiron. Lenovo laptop prints without issue. Can more than one computer on the home network have the all in one driver package suite? I would think YES.
Also when driver installation and HP online registration is confirmed, on trying to close window, I get an Exit Device Services Setup window cautioning...Are you sure you want to close this window? If you exit, you can complete your setup later by saving this link. "Copy link to clipboard" Click Continue to continue setup or Close. AFAIK, I completed the setup. There are no other options to complete on this page but it seems I am exiting at my own risk.
