My printer is stuck on E9 error mode and will not update the firmware. I’ve spoken to many reps and they cannot figure it out and state it is an issue with their server potentially. I cannot print and I was told to attempt to return the printer even thought it’s past the return period. Anyone else going through this frustrating issue?!

@Dee4356, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
That's right. An E9 error occurs when a problem occurs during a printer firmware update.
-
Set up the wireless setup again.
For more information, go to Wireless Printer Setup.
-
Touch the Information button
.
If the information page prints, the printer is back to normal state.
If the printer fails to print the Information page, it is still in recovery mode and needs to download the firmware again.
NOTE: During recovery mode, the printer automatically downloads firmware from the cloud. Leave the printer about 2 hours, depending on your network speed, to complete firmware download and update.
Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your computer.

If this does not help, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer.
