HP Envy 6022e

I have bought the HP Envy 6022e today and straight out of the box it is not working. I plugged it in and the instructions say to wait for the printer lights to go purple and then use the app to set up, but my printer lights are not going purple. All I have is flashing green lights on the corner and green light in the print tray and the “E” is flashing green and flipping backwards and forwards. The app cannot set it up.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I am here to help you with the printer setup.

Perform a power reset to hard reset the printer

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Clean the rollers inside the ink cartridge access area to clean the dust, paper fiber, and other debris that might accumulate on the paper feed rollers and cause paper jams and paper feed issues.

  1. Turn off the printer, and then disconnect the power cord.

       WARNING:

You must disconnect the power cord before reaching inside the printer to avoid risk of injuries or electric shock.

  2. Push in the output tray, if necessary.

  3. Lift the ink cartridge access door by using the recessed areas on the sides of the printer until the lid locks into place.

  4. Lightly dampen a lint-free cloth with distilled water, and then squeeze any excess liquid from the cloth.

  5. Press the cloth against the rollers inside the printer, and then rotate the rollers upwards with your fingers. Apply a moderate amount of pressure to remove any dust or dirt buildup.

    Cleaning the rollers

  6. Allow the rollers to dry (approximately 10 or 15 minutes).

  7. Locate the paper path cover in the area behind the ink cartridge access area.
