HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I am trying to find a way to install a driver for the Envy 6055 printer for use with Windows 7. Is there a way to do this?

Hi @KellyinTexas ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

the HP ENVY 6055e on Windows 7. However, you can try the following steps to see if it's possible to make it work:

Windows Update:

  • Connect your printer to your Windows 7 computer.
  • Go to "Start" > "Control Panel" > "Windows Update."
  • Check for updates and see if Windows Update detects and installs the necessary driver for your printer.

HP Support Website:

Compatibility Mode:

  • Download the Windows 7 driver (if available for your printer) from the HP website.
  • Right-click on the driver setup file and select "Properties."
  • Go to the "Compatibility" tab.
  • Check the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select "Windows 7" from the dropdown menu.
  • Click "Apply" and then "OK."
  • Run the installer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
